Clear Blue Sky Necklace from Beadoholic,Glass Czech Beads,Get Ready for Spring

Instructions:
Please watch our instructional video on pearl knotting before proceeding. On a secure non-slip surface, such as a beading mat or a beading board, lay out your clear Czech beads with the three largest in the center, getting gradually smaller as you get to the back of the necklace. You may make the necklace as long or as short as you like by adding or omitting beads.

Once you have your beads lain out in the manner that you like, you can begin knotting the beads onto your light blue Griffin silk. Make sure that every knot is tight and close together, and that there is a secure knot at either end of the necklace

Trim your silk to about one inch long at the ends and fold them over. Apply a small amount of E6000 to each end of silk, and insert them into the crimp ends.

Using a pair of chain nose pliers, squeeze the center of the crimp ends tightly.

Cut two one foot pieces of light blue grosgrain ribbon.

Thread two feet of K.O. onto a needle.

Insert each piece of ribbon through each of the loops on the crimp ends, so that just about one inch protrudes.

Fold the one inch end of the ribbon once, and then twice, and then press it against the longer part of itself. Sew along the edge of the folded piece until the ribbon is securely sewn around the crimp ends. Tie off the thread and trim excess. Repeat on the other end of the necklace.

To wear the necklace, simply place around your neck and tie a bow in the back.
